Do not be fooled. These yellow "banana" peppers are the hot and spicy variety - a fact I discovered one day during lunch after cleaning several, sprinkling them with salt, and taking a serious bite. Ouch.
We fixed the appetizer classic of bacon-wrapped, cream-cheese-filled jalapenos (and hot banana peppers) for supper. Personally I enjoyed the taste of bacon (who doesn't?) and jalapeno peppers, but could forego the cream cheese. But that's just me ...
