Purple basil is an ornamental, versatile herb that can be used in many ways thanks to its mild flavor that has a hint of spice. Containing Vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as antioxidants, Purple basil offers health benefits such as boosting the immune system and promoting skin health.*
We recommend consuming Purple basil as a tea. Place 1 cup of basil leaves in a heat-proof jar or carafe. Bring 3.5 cups of water to a boil and pour over the leaves. Steep for approximately 20 minutes, then strain the leaves. Add honey and/or lemon for extra flavor! Purple basil tea can be enjoyed warm or iced.
