Our Dry Hollow Farm luffas are organically-grown and hand harvested. Grade A slices are cut from luffa gourds picked before the husk is completely brown, thus providing a naturally light-colored luffa. For our Grade A luffa slices, we use a weak household bleach solution for basic removal of bacteria after harvest, so natural luffa coloration remains without the use of harsh, chemical cleansers.
