Our Dry Hollow Farm luffas are organically-grown and hand harvested. Grade C slices are cut from luffa gourds picked after the husk is completely brown and dried thus providing a dark brown, rough grade luffa. We do not bleach our Grade C luffas and luffa slices.
We are primarily marketing our Grade C luffa slices to horticulturists as they create the perfect, biodegradable root saver when inserted into a plant pot. The luffa slice provides a base that prevents root rot or heavily clumped soil in the bottom of a plant pot.
